Chevron Phillips Chemical Announces New Treasurer

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (December 19, 2008) - Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP (Chevron Phillips Chemical) today announced the appointment of Trevor Roberts to Treasurer, effective immediately. Roberts replaces Joe McKee, who has retired.

Trevor Roberts was formerly a ConocoPhillips senior management adviser to OAO LUKOIL's vice president, corporate finance & treasury, located in Moscow, Russia.

Trevor joined Conoco Inc.'s Treasury department in 1980 in Houston, Texas. In 1987, he was transferred to E. I. DuPont as finance manager of DuPont Iberica, in Barcelona, Spain, with responsibility for DuPont's finance function in Spain and Portugal. In 1994, he returned to Conoco Inc. in Houston, as manager of finance & performance analysis for the Gulf Coast Refining & Marketing Business Unit. In 1994, he was named Principal Consultant - Business Development, and in early 1996, assumed the finance manager position for Conoco's operations in Venezuela, where he had the responsibility for establishing and leading the finance function in support of Conoco's developing operations in Venezuela.

In late 2001, Roberts assumed the role of regional treasury manager for ConocoPhillips' operations in Asia, where he was responsible for Treasury & Financing activities related to the company's Asian operations. In early 2005, he undertook the role of ConocoPhillips senior management adviser to LUKOIL's vice president of treasury & corporate finance.

Roberts received a B.A. in economics and an M.B.A. in international finance from the University of Dallas. He and his wife have two daughters.
