THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (October 30, 2008) - Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LLC (Chevron Phillips Chemical) today announced the appointment of two new members to the company's Board of Directors.
John E. Lowe and W.C.W. Chiang have been named to assume seats formerly held by Greg Goff and Sig Cornelius. Both Goff and Cornelius have new executive assignments at ConocoPhillips.
John E. Lowe is assistant to ConocoPhillips' chief executive officer. In this role, Lowe represents the company in many of its external relationships and provides assistance on special assignments.
Lowe currently serves on the Board of Directors of DCP Midstream, DCP Partners, and the Houston Museum of Natural Science, and is a former board member of the 66 Federal Credit Union.
Lowe received a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and accounting from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas, in 1981.
W.C.W. (Willie) Chiang is senior vice president, Refining, Marketing and Transportation, for ConocoPhillips.
Chiang is a member of the executive board of directors for the Society of Performing Arts and has formerly served on the boards of DCP Midstream and DCP Partners. He has also been involved in both the API and NPRA throughout his career.
Chiang received a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in 1981 and completed the 2004 Advanced Management Program at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
