THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (October 23, 2009) - Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LLC (Chevron Phillips Chemical) named two facilities as recipients of the company's 2009 President's Environmental Award for outstanding environmental stewardship efforts.
The award in the petrochemical manufacturing category went to the company's Q-Chem joint venture facility, located in Messaieed, Qatar; the award for non-petrochemical manufacturing went to the Performance Pipe division's Fairfield Plant, located in Fairfield, Iowa. Additionally, 20 facilities earned the company's Harmony Environmental Award.

Chevron Phillips Chemical established the President's Environmental Award in 2007 to honor facilities that demonstrate exemplary environmental performance. The award recognizes an exceptional demonstrated commitment to compliance, pollution prevention, sustainable environmental improvements, and superior environmental leadership.

Harmony Environmental Award
