Chevron Phillips Chemical Announces Senior Management Changes

 
THE WOODLANDS, TX (Nov. 29, 2011) - Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LLC (Chevron Phillips Chemical) today announced a number of senior management changes.
 
Timothy G. (Tim) Taylor, chief operating officer, has elected to retire Dec. 13, 2011, after 31 years of service with Chevron Phillips Chemical and Phillips Petroleum Company. Taylor has served in a number of senior management roles since formation of Chevron Phillips Chemical in July 2000. Before being elected to his current position, he served as executive vice president, olefins and polyolefins. The company has no plans to replace the chief operating officer position.
 
Mark Haney, executive vice president, olefins and polyolefins, has announced that he will retire Dec. 31, 2011. Haney began his career with Phillips Petroleum in 1977, and joined Chevron Phillips Chemical in July 2000, where he served as president of Performance Pipe, a division of Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP; vice president, polyethylene; and senior vice president, specialties, aromatics and styrenics, before being elected to his current position.
 
"Both Tim Taylor and Mark Haney are well respected in our industry and Chevron Phillips Chemical has benefited greatly from their knowledge and experience," said Peter L. Cella, president and chief executive officer.
 
The following senior management changes will become effective Jan. 1, 2012.
 
Mark Lashier, currently senior vice president, specialties, aromatics and styrenics, has been elected executive vice president, olefins and polyolefins, replacing Mark Haney.
 
Dan Coombs, currently vice president, corporate planning and development, will become senior vice president, specialties, aromatics and styrenics.
 
Ron Corn, currently vice president, olefins and NGL, will assume the position of vice president, corporate planning and development.
 
Lashier, Coombs and Corn will report to Peter L. Cella, president & CEO.
 
David S. (Dave) Smith, currently vice president, polyethylene, will become vice president, olefins and NGL. Smith will report to Mark Lashier.
